Slokas Humble prayer

Mantras and slokas are an essence of the three Vedas, they unite our mind, body, sound, vision and enlightens our soul. The depths of the unconscious mind and philosophical experience of a man is said to awaken along with the repetitive vibrations of the orderly arranged Sanskrit words of the mantras and slokas. Chanting mantras aloud or humming them in our minds or even listening to them brings in an aura of peace.

Slokas are praising and making humble prayers to God. Reciting a sloka helps in being patient and calm. Conversation with God through the medium of slokas lightens our soul and showers peace. That is exactly why Hindu culture considers Sanskrit slokas to be an excellent medium of worship.

When these slokas are recited, they help to increase prosperity in the atmosphere by awakening the inner self and eliminating obstacles from negative energies. Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrating The Origin Of Ganesh Chaturthi Vinayak

Every year on calm, rainy days of September, the Hindus prepare for a ten-day festival. They set up the Idols of a God who is most revered in Hinduism. They chant slokas And mantras and show their devotion to god in various different rituals. They treat their neighbors with love and sweets, and clean their houses for conducting pujas on auspicious days. This festival is revered among Hindus as the birth of the Elephant- headed god, Ganesha. Ganesha, who is also known by many names such as Vinayak, Ganapati among many other is the second son of Lord Shiva, and Goddess Parvati.

He was the brother of Lord Muruga. Lord Ganesha, was created by Goddess parvati to guard the abode while shiva, was away. When shiva returned from his journey he was stopped by Lord Ganesh, who did not know who shiva was. Enraged by such defiance,Lord shiva severed the head of his own son, Ganesh. When Parvati returned she was devastated by what had happened and informed Shiva that Lord Ganesh was their own son. Shiva promised to restore Lord Ganesh’s life and went looking for the severed head, but in vein. Unable to find his son’s head, Lord Shiva found the head of an elephant. He then attached the head of the elephant to the body of Lord Ganesh, and brought him back to life.
